DURANT, Okla. – The West Texas A&M mens golf team sits tied for fifth place with Southwestern Oklahoma State at the Texoma Championship, after day-one action at the Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club in Durant, Okla.

WTAMU shot a combined 36-hole total of 607 (307, 300). Northwood leads the 10-team field with a 581 (289, 292), while Northwood’s Lucas Bogdan leads the tournament, individually, with 136 (67,69)

After 36-holes, Johnny McMillen (Jr., Armagh, Northern Ireland) leads the Buffs, sitting in a tie for third place with a score of 145 (74, 71).

Colin Cruz (Jr., Amarillo, Texas) was the next Buffs’ top scorer, sitting in tie for 18th-place, shooting 153 (80, 73). One stroke behind was Jesse Ely (Sr., Odessa, Texas), shooting a 154 (76,78) to place tied for 20th.

Dustin Nelson (Jr., Cleburne, Texas) carded a 155 (77, 78), good for a tie for 25th. Finishing out the scoring for the Buffs was Chris Keirns (So., Thorton, Colo.), who placed 47th with 163 (84, 79).

The tournament will conclude with third-round action on Tuesday.
