WTAMU Ends Up Sixth At NSU Men's Classic

MUSKOGEE, Okla. -- The West Texas A&M University men's golf team finished in sixth-place, led by junior Paul Slaughter's fourth-place result, at the Northeastern State Men's Golf Classic at Muskogee Country Club at Muskogee, Okla.
WTAMU fired a three-round total of 898 (302-301-295), to finish sixth in the 14-team field. Washburn University took top honors with an 853 (287-275-291).
Junior Paul Slaughter was WTAMU's top golfer, carding an even 213 (71-72-70). Washburn's Matt Ewald was the individual medalist with a 7-under 206.

The Buffs wrap up the fall portion of their schedule next Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 3-4, at the Drury University Invitational at Springfield, Mo.
