Tahlequah, Okla - West Texas A&M University placed 12th place among fifteen teams in the 10th Annual NSU Golf Classic, which concluded Tuesday at the Emerald Falls Golf Club in Broken Arrow, Okla.

The Buffs shot scores of 304-317-324=945 on the par 72, 7,148-yard course. Abilene Christian won the event with scores of 299-298-284=881, with Central Oklahoma second (296-298-288=882) and Washburn third (293-302-290=885).

ACU's Patrick Hanauer took individual honors with rounds of 71-73-68=212.

Leading the Buffs were Geoff Phemister (senior, Canyon, Texas), who carded scores of 74-75-85=234 and Tate Allred (soph., Perryton, Texas) who shot 72-82-80=234 to tie for 46th, individually. Other WT finishers were Brandon Holub (junior, Gilbert, Ariz.), tied for 58th with 79-80-78=237, Roy Holderman (junior, Anthony, N.M.), who shot 79-83-84=246 to tie for 70th and Colin Cruz (sophomore, Amarillo, Texas), who placed in a tie for 76th with scores of 88-8-82=250.

The Buffs next outing will be Sept. 29-30 when they compete in the St. Mary's Fall Gold Tournament, held at the Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, Texas.
