WTAMU Golf In Sixth After First Day of Play at UCO Classic

EDMOND, Okla. -- The West Texas A&M University men's golf team is in sixth place after the first day of play at the University of Central Oklahoma/Kickingbird Classic at Kicking Bird Golf Course at Edmond, Okla.
The Buffs shot a combined 587 after the first two rounds in the 15-team field. Northeastern State University is atop the leaderboard with a 564, one shot ahead of Cameron University's 565.
Individually, junior Joshua Luongo is tied for 18th with a four-over 144. Luke Antonelli is in first-place with a three-under 137, just ahead of four other golfers at two-under 138.
Junior Chris Washburn is tied for 35th with a 147, one stroke ahead of teammate senior Josh Duckworth who carded a 148. Fellow senior Jimmy Jameson shot a 150 and is tied for 50th, while freshman James Dillingham rounded out the WTAMU players with a 155, tied for 64th.
The Classic resumes with a final 18-hole round Tuesday.
WTAMU returns home to host the Subway Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, April 5-6. The men will play at La Paloma Golf Club, while the women will play at Tascosa Golf Club at Amarillo, Texas.
