WTAMU Golf Finishes Tied For Second At Crawford-Wade Invite

YANTIS, Texas - The West Texas A&M University men's golf team relinquished its first-day lead and wound up tied for second at the Crawford-Wade Invitational Tuesday, hosted by Texas A&M University-Commerce at the Links at Lands End.

The Buffs had a four-stroke lead after day one, but struggled in day two, shooting a 321 to finish with a 619, tied for second with Abilene Christian University, 19 strokes behind the University of Central Oklahoma, who took top honors with a 600.

UCO's Todd Dayton claimed individual honors, carding a 141, while WTAMU junior Chris Washburn finished second with a 149. Junior Joshua Luongo was tied for 10th with a 155, while senior Josh Duckworth tallied a 156 to place tied for 14th. Freshman James Dillingham was tied for 18th with a 160 and senior Jimmy Jameson was tied for 26th with a 162.

WTAMU will compete in the UCO/Kickingbird Classic at Edmond, Okla. on March 29-30. The Buffs host the Subway Invitational on April 4-5.
