POTTSBOROUGH, Texas - The West Texas A&M men's golf team had two players finish in the top 20 this weekend, as the Buffs took fifth place at the Pepsi Crawford-Wade Invitational, after shooting a 610. The event was hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce at the Tanglewood Resort, and St. Mary's took home the trophy for top squad as it shot a two-day total of 591.

Senior Kent Neal shot a 150, while classmate Spud Dillingham was one stroke behind at 151, to lead WTAMU, finishing tied for 12th place and 15th place respectively. Sophomore Geoff Phemister finished tied for the 31st spot after shooting a 154, while junior Jon Musser dropped dramatically after a round one score of 74, to tie for 39th place after a second day performance of 81. Sophomore Jonathan Shelley rounded out the club, finishing tied for 41st place after completing a two-day total of 156.

WTAMU will travel to Ada, Okla., March 11-13, to compete at Oak Hills Country Club. The tournament will be hosted by East Central University.
