CANYON, Texas - West Texas A&M seniors Jared Brock and Charly Martin were named to the Associated Press Little All-America team, it was announced Thursday. The team is comprised of players from NCAA Divisions II, III and NAIA members.

Both players were first-team honorees.

Brock, a 6-1, 232, outside linebacker, earned his third first-team honor this season. He was earlier named to the AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) all-America first team as well as the Daktronics Division II all-America first team.

Charly Martin

The Abernathy, Texas, native made 83 tackles and led the Buffs in tackles for losses (14 for minus-72 yards). Brock has twice been named Lone Star Conference South Division Linebacker of the Year. This is also Brock's third AP Little all-America honor.  He was a first team pick in 2006 and a second team selection in 2007.

Martin, 6-2, 210, wide receiver, led all Division II receivers in catches (95), yards receiving (1,867), touchdown receptions (22) and yards receiving per game (148.6).

The Farmington, N.M., native literally re-wrote the WT receiving record book over the past five seasons. In WT's playoff loss to Abilene Christian, Martin set Division II one-game playoff records with 14 receptions for 343 yards and five touchdowns.  Martin also holds LSC career marks in receptions (244) and TD catches (44).

Earlier this month, Martin was named to the Daktronics first team all-America squad.

Both Brock and Martin, as well as quarterback Keith Null, will be participating in the Valero Cactus Bowl on Jan. 9, in Kingsville, Texas.
