Gridiron Buffs Honored As Members of Daktronics All-Super Region Team

CANYON, Texas - Five members of the West Texas A&M Buffalo football team have been named to the Daktronics All-Super Region 4 Team announced Tuesday morning. The team, which is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc. an acknowledged leader in scoring, timing, and programmable display systems, is voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). J'Marcus Webb (SR, Mesquite, Texas) was named to the first team, while teammates Keithon Flemming (SR, Mesquite, Texas), Eugene Sims (SO, Mount Olive, Texas), Bryan Braman (JR, Spokane, Wash.) and Tae Evans (JR, Amarillo, Texas) were named to the second team. All five Buffs were also members of the All-Lone Star Conference First Team with Flemming being named the Co-Offensive Player of the Year and Sims being honored as the Defensive Lineman of the Year. Midwestern State quarterback Zack Eskridge was named the Offensive Player of the Year while Washburn's Zach Watkins was honored as the Defensive Player of the Year. The Buffs will conclude their season on Dec. 5, when they travel to Topeka, Kansas, to face Nebraska-Omaha in the inaugural Kanza Bowl, to be held at the Hummer Sports Park (cap. 6,000/Turf) with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m. CST.
