Three Buffs Named to 2008-09 CoSIDA Academic All-District Football Team

CANYON, Texas - Three members of the West Texas A&M football team have been named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic all-District 6 team, as announced by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Thursday afternoon. Buffs' linebacker Jared Brock, wide receiver Charly Martin and quarterback Keith Null each earned a spot on the prestigious 24-member academic squad. Brock, a senior from Abernathy, Texas, is carrying a 3.57 GPA in Accounting. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting this past Spring and is currently pursuing his master's degree in Accounting. Martin, a senior from Farmington, N.M., has a 3.85 GPA in graduate level Sports & Excercise Science. He has already earned his bachelor's in Broadcast Communications. Null, a senior from Lampasas, Texas, likewise is working on his graduate degree, carrying a 3.89 in Soprts & Exercise Science. The threesome will now advance to the national ballot, with the national finalists to be released in late November.
