General: Ruffins was a key component in the Buffaloes' passing game in 2007, and looks to have the edge at a starting berth heading into 2008.

2007: Ruffins saw action in all 13 contests, catching 47 passes for 619 yards (fifth-highest on the squad) and nine TDs. His high-yardage outing was a six-catch, 110-yard, two TD game against Adams State while his highest number of receptions was a nine-catch, 74-yard, two TD night against Texas A&M-Kingsville. Ruffins recorded five outings of 50+ yards receiving, with the aforementioned Adams State and Texas A&M-Kingsville contests, plus outings of five catches for 86 yards against Northeastern Okla., three catches for 73 yards against Eastern New Mexico and five catches for 59 yards against South Dakota. He also enjoyed a multiple TD games against Angelo State, catching four passes for 43 yards.

2006: Redshirt season.

High School: Ruffins played at both quarterback and wide receiver during his prep career, garnerinng all-District honors and helping lead his team to a 9-1 record as a senior. He was selected as a Texas Scholar and was an honor roll student.
