General: A three-year starter at safety in the Buffalo defensive backfield, Johnson has earned a reputation as a clutch player with several late-game interceptions over his career.

2007: A 13-game starter at free safety, Johnson recorded 44 tackles on the season (22 solo, 22 assists), including one behind the line of scrimmage. His season-best performance was an eight-tackle, one PBU, one interception outing against Central Oklahoma. He also had six takedowns against Midwestern State, five tackles (and one PBU) against Texas A&M-Kingsville and four tackles each against South Dakota, Washburn and Northwest Missouri State.

2006: Johnson started all 13 games at safety for the Buffs. He finished fifth on the team in total tackles, with 48, a figure that included 25 solo stops and 2.5 tackles for loss. He recorded a pair of interceptions and pair of pass breakups, while also forcing one fumble. He secured a 29-27 victory over then-No. 24 Midwestern State by ending the Mustangs' final drive with an interception. At season's end, Johnson was honored as a second team All-LSC selection.

2005: Johnson appeared in eight games, recording seven tackles (two solo, five assists). He also registered six tackles in the Buffs' win over Eastern New Mexico.

2004: Johnson saw limited action at wide receiver as a redshirt freshman.

2003: Redshirt season.

High School: While at Killeen HS, Johnson was an outstanding two-sport athlete, He earned all-District honors in football while also being a regional qualifier in track, while lettering three years.

Major: Johnson is majoring in Criminal Justice at WTAMU.
