High School: Harmon earned team Most Valuable Player honors, as well as earning all-State and first team all-District 19-2A honors as a running back at Frankston (Texas) HS. He also earned second team all-district honors as a defensive end. During his career with the Indians, he rushed for 3,616 yards, 40 TDs offensively, while defensively, he was involved in 178 tackles and 57 quarterback sacks. As a junior in 2007, he earned all-State honors and was district MVP at running back.

Personal: Harmon is the son of La'Marcus Harmon and Sandrew Ellis.
