GENERAL: Burton provides the Buff passing game a speedy deep threat. He also has proven his abilities as a kick returner.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: As a receiver/kick return specialist at Long Beach CC, Burton earned first team SCFA all-Southern Conference honors after catching 39 passes for 923 yards (21.1 yards per reception). He also returned 23 kicks for 551 yards, averaging 23.9 yards per return for Coach Mike Riesbig's squad, earning first team all-Conference honors as a receiver and all-purpose player. In 2007, he was named team MVP as well as second team all-Conference as a receiver.

HIGH SCHOOL: Burton attended Lakewood (Calif.) Artesia HS, where he earned offensive Player of the Year honors as a receiver and running back for coach Norm Flowers' Pioneer squad.
