CANYON, Texas - West Texas A&M men's basketball coach Rick Cooper has signed five new players for the 2007-2008 season, who will help the Buffs gun for a third consecutive NCAA-II Regional appearance.

Robert Lee, a 6'2" senior guard from Fort Worth, Texas, finished last season at the University of Houston, where he averaged six points and 3.3 rebounds per game. He shot 38% from the floor and 24% from outside the arc. Prior to his time there, he spent two years at Seminole State College, where he was named NJCAA second team All-American. He averaged 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.7 steals per game as a sophomore and 8.5 points, 1.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game as a freshman. He was ranked 26th among the NJCAA national scoring leaders and was ranked among the Top 66 Junior College recruits by JucoJunction.com. Additionally, Lee was named the top three-point shooter at the 2005 Jerry Mullen's All-Star Junior College Review and the Region II and Bi-State Conference Player of the Year (after leading Seminole to a 23-8 record).

Junior guard Keon Grant comes to WTAMU from Lincoln Trail College. The 6'4" Hopkinsville, Ky., native helped Lincoln Trail win the Region 24 title last season, scoring 14 points in the championship game. He finished the season scoring 40% of his field goal attempts and 37% of his three-point attempts, with 12 points and five rebounds per game.

Demetrice Fuller, from Atlanta, Ga., played for Coastal Georgia Community College last season, where he finished with 257 total points (14 ppg), placing second on the NJCAA leader board. The 6'1" junior guard made 72% of his free throws (3rd in the NJCAA), 53% of his field goals (4th in the NJCAA) and 34% of his three pointers. Additionally, Fuller recorded 50 assists and 37 steals.

Junior post Jon Sykes will be the tallest Buff, standing at 6'10". The Roswell, N.M., native last played for Howard College, from 2002-2004. He averaged seven points and eight rebounds per game and sank 57% of his field goal attempts.

Chris Tucker, a 5'10" sophomore guard, hails from Philadelphia, Pa. He is transferring from Olney Central College, where he averaged 9.5 points and five assists per game. He shot 33% from the floor and 30% from outside the arc.
