Lolar Snares South Central Honors

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has named Buffs playmaker Damien Lolar as a standout in the South Central region, tabbing him for second team accolades. Lolar is among four Lone Star Conference players to be honored.
The 6-4 junior guard from Arkansas City, Kan. played his first season with the Buffs in 2005-06 after playing two years at Cowley County Community College. Lolar's impact was immediate. He played all 31 games for WTAMU including starting 30 and led the team with a .504 field goal percentage as well as recording 15.9 points per game and pulling down 6.7 boards per game. Lolar was second in assists and steals per game (3.0 and 1.4 respectively) and averaged 29.8 minutes per game, also second on the team. In addition, he led the team to the LSC championship, was named to the LSC All-Tournament team, including picking up Tournament MVP honors and was selected by the LSC for a first team slot.
