Lolar Participates in Second Post Season All-Star Event

WADSWORTH, Ohio - Playing in his second All-Star game after garnering numerous post season accolades including Second Team All-America honors, Buff standout Damien Lolar tallied 18 points in the inaugural College Basketball Invitational All-Star game on Saturday. The West All-Stars edged out the East All-Stars 120-114 in the game, which was played in Wadsworth, Ohio.

Lolar was third for the West All-Stars in scoring, shooting 7-for-15 with a three pointer and went 3-of-4 from the charity stripe. In addition, Lolar pulled down four boards and dished out four assists in 20 minutes of playing time. To qualify for the final All-Star match-up, Lolar first played for the Louis Perry & Associates team which took to the court for the first time on Thursday, where he sank 12 points and grabbed three rebounds in squad's opening game at the event. The Louis Perry & Associates team played again on Friday night and Lolar tallied 17 points and pulled down 3 boards in 20 minutes of court time.

The Arkansas City, Kan., native's first appearance as an All-Star was at the NABC All-Star game in Springfield, Mass., on March 24, where he contributed a game-high 20 points to help the West All-Stars to 97-92 victory.

Lolar ended his career at WT having poured in 1,175 points, including 650 during the 2006-07 season in which he led the LSC in scoring average with 23.2 points per game. Additionally, he pulled down an average of 8.5 rebounds per contest.

Fellow Lone Star Conference All-Star Eric Dawson of Midwestern State was named the West's MVP, registering the team's only double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds.
