Lolar Leads West to Victory in NABC Division II All-Star Game
March 26, 2007 CANYON, Texas - Buffalo basketball senior Damien Lolar's game-high 20 points in the prestigious NABC Division II All-Star Game in Springfield, Mass., on Friday, helped the West All-Stars to a 97-92 win over the East All-Star squad. Lolar shot 7-of-17 coming off the bench, including three baskets from beyond the three-point arc and 3-of-6 from the free throw line. The West team was able to come back from a 22-point deficit with 6:33 remaining in the first half to take the game while outrebounding the East, 71-56. Lolar ended his career at WT having poured in 1,175 career points, including 650 during the 2006-07 season in which he led the Lone Star Conference in scoring average with 23.2 points per game. In addition, he pulled down an average of 8.5 boards per contest. For his efforts, Lolar was named LSC South Player of the Year as well as Daktronics co-Regional Player of the Year and as a Daktronics Second Team All-American. The two-year standout will next take the court to participate in a second postseason all-star event, the Collegiate Basketball Invitational, which will be held in Wadsworth, Ohio, on April 21st at 7 p.m. (CDT) and broadcast on ESPNU.
