The West Texas A&M University men's basketball team will be making their 11th appearance in the Lone Star Conference Tournament as the No. 4 seed from the South will take on the South's No. 2 seed, Midwestern State University in the LSC Tournament semfinal tilt on Friday, March 4 at Commerce, Texas, hosted by Texas A&M University-Commerce at the TAMU-C Field House (5,000). The MSU-WTAMU contest will tip at 6 p.m., preceding the other semifinal between the second seed from the North Tarleton State and the South top-seed and No. 8 TAMU-Commerce at 8 p.m.

The winners of Friday's contests will advance to the LSC Tournament title game on Saturday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m.

Friday night will be the third time WTAMU has faced MSU this season, with the Buffs winning the previous two meetings. WTAMU won on its home floor, 81-52, on Jan. 20, and used a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from Holms to knock off the Indians at their place in overtime, 74-72, on Feb. 17. This will be the first postseason meeting between WTAMU and MSU since the Indians defeated the Buffs in the 2000 LSC Tournament Championship game.

WTAMU has made it to the LSC Tournament final a conference-record eight times, taking the title five of those times, also the most in conference history.
