MBB NOTES: WTAMU Trying To Secure First-Round Home Game With Win Wednesday Over MSU in PDF Format
The West Texas A&M University men's basketball team will travel to Wichita Falls, Texas on Wednesday, Feb. 22 to face Midwestern State University. The game will be the Buffs' last road game of the regular season and WTAMU can secure a home game for the first-round of the Lone Star Conference Tournament with a win.
WTAMU is currently sitting in sole possession of second-place in the LSC South standings, trailing first-place Tarleton State University by two games. The Buffs secured a spot in the LSC Tournament with an 87-73 win over Abilene Christian University on Tuesday, Feb. 14.
Tarleton State can clinch the LSC South title with a win Thursday at home against Eastern New Mexico University.
The Buffs are No. 8 in the NCAA-II South Central Region Rankings, which determine the 8-team field for the NCAA-II South Central Regional Tournament, March 12-15 at the top seed.
WTAMU holds the overall record between the two schools, 28-16, including winning the last five and nine out of the last 11.
