The West Texas A&M University men's basketball team will travel to San Angelo, Texas to face Angelo State University on Saturday, Feb. 18. The Lone Star Conference South Division contest will tip-off at approximately 8 p.m., as the second half of a doubleheader with the Lady Buffs who will begin at 6 p.m. as ASU's Junell Center/Stephens Court (5,500).

WTAMU is currently sitting in sole possession of second-place in the LSC South standings, trailing first-place Tarleton State University by two games. The Buffs secured a spot in the LSC Tournament with an 87-73 win over Abilene Christian University on Tuesday.

The Buffs are No. 8 in the NCAA-II South Central Region Rankings, which determine the 8-team field for the NCAA-II South Central Regional Tournament March 12-15 at the top seed.

WTAMU owns the all-time series record, 27-15, with the Buffs winning six of the last seven match-ups, including WTAMU's 77-71 win on the Buffs' home court on Jan. 21.

ASU is under new coaching leadership, as head coach Joe Esposito stepped down last week. Assistant coach John Greene has been the interim head coach for the Rams' last two games, as ASU is in the midst of a eight-game losing streak and have lost 14 of the last 15 games, currently 0-10 in LSC South play.
