DURANT, Okla. - Senior Damien Lolar connected on a pair free throws in the waning moments of the second half to force overtime, but the Buffs could not come up with a road victory, falling to Southeastern Oklahoma State by the score of 85-75 at Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium Thursday night, snapping the Buffs' five-game winning streak.

In the game's opening half, it was the Buffs who took command of the contest, jumping out to a 7-0 advantage and holding a lead as big as 15 on their way to taking a favorable 37-28 score into halftime. Kevin "Chip" Green paced the team, scoring nine of his team-high 19 points in the first half on a 3-of-5 shooting performance from the field, a figure which included two baskets from beyond the three point arc.

Following the halftime intermission, WTAMU, which shot 48.3 percent in the first half, did not find the rims as kind and a gritty team effort by the Savage Storm propelled it back into the contest. After having trailed the entire game, a layup by SOSU's Matt White at the 4:42 mark of the period gave the home team its first lead at 59-58. The Savage Storm built a lead as big as five in the closing moments of the second half, but Lolar's foul shots forced extra time to settle the issue.

The overtime period was not kind to the visitors from Canyon, as the Savage Storm outscored the Buffs 19-9 after the end of regulation. Senior guard Jason Stamply led the charge scoring 13 of his game-high 33 points during the extra frame.

Lolar finished play with his eighth double-double of the season, tallying 14 points while hauling down a team-high 11 rebounds. Juniors Mike Baskerville and Chris Hinz rounded out the WTAMU scorers in double figures with 16 and 12 points, respectively.

With the setback, the Buffs fall to 7-6 on the season and 0-2 in overtime affairs after dropping their last extra session contest to Southwestern Oklahoma State on Dec. 2. The Savage Storm, however, improve its overall mark this season to 12-2.
