CANYON, Texas - Senior guard Damien Lolar collected his seventh double-double of the season, scoring 31 points and pulling down 10 rebounds on Thursday night as the West Texas A&M men's basketball team picked up its fourth consecutive victory, downing Lone Star Crossover foe Central Oklahoma by the score of 78-68.

The victory improves the Buffs overall record to 6-5 this season, while the Bronchos fall to 7-4 on the year.

The first half was a back and forth affair with both WTAMU and UCO holding leads as large as seven in the half. Senior guard Damien Lolar paced the Buffs with eight points and four rebounds while junior Moshn Said contributed seven points, connecting on 2-of-3 three point attempts and adding a made three throw in the period. Said would finish the game with a season-high 13 points.

Despite WTAMU's hot shooting during the opening period, 56 percent (9-of-16) from the field and 63 percent (5-of-8) from beyond the three point arc, Central Oklahoma used a 5-0 run to close the frame to take a slim 36-35 advantage to the locker room.

In the second half, Lolar and the Buffs continued their hot shooting as the team converted 12-of-21 attempts floor with the Arkansas City, Kan., leading the charge by connecting on 7-of-11 field goals to put up 23 of his game-high 31 points.

Solid free throw shooting from WTAMU helped to secure the victory as the Buffs connected on 15-of-20 attempts in the final period.

The home stand continues for Buff basketball on Saturday when they entertain Northeastern State in a Lone Star Conference crossover match up at WT's First United Bank Center.
