2007 West Texas A&M Baseball Schedule

Canyon, Texas - The West Texas A&M Baseball team has announced its schedule for the upcoming season, which will kick off at home against College of the Southwest on Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. The Buffs looks to improve on their 26-27 2006 regular season record under the direction of eighth year head coach Mark Jones.

WTAMU will meet only two opponents before facing a pair of doubleheaders with LSC crossover Cameron University on Feb. 16 and 17, in Amarillo, where the team will again play at Potter County Memorial Stadium, better known as the Dilla Villa. The Buffs will then face off against the defending LSC Champions, Central Oklahoma. Conference play will begin at the end of March with a pair of twinbills against Eastern New Mexico at home.

Jones earned his first Lone Star Conference Coach of the Year honor last season after guiding WTAMU to its first ever LSC Tournament appearance in 2006, while a handful of Buffs garnered recognition from conference voters with four members of the squad earning All-LSC accolades, and one being named to the All-Tournament team.
