CANYON, Texas - The West Texas A&M baseball team was scheduled to play one game at Central Oklahoma on Friday to kick off a four-game stretch, but due to imminent bad weather the Buffs will now play four games on Sunday and Monday.

The doubleheaders this weekend in Edmond, Okla., both are set to begin at Noon; UCO was selected to finish third in Lone Star Conference action in the preseason poll.

The Buffs opened the 2008 season last week with three games at Sul Ross State, collecting a record of 1-2. Senior infielder Brian Schupp hit five homeruns and collected a team-high 10 RBI, earning LSC Hitter of the Week recognition.

Looking ahead, WT is slated to open its home schedule on Feb. 22 when the Buffs host East Central in a 1 p.m. game, followed by a doubleheader on Feb. 23 and the last game of the series on Feb. 24.
