Buffs' Skid Continues After Wayland Baptist Loss

The West Texas A&M University baseball team dropped their fifth straight game, losing to Wayland Baptist University Tuesday, 15-2, at Potter County Memorial Stadium. The win gave WBU the season sweep, going 2-0 against the Buffs on the year.
WTAMU drops to 20-25 on the season, while WBU advances to 28-20.
For the Buffs, 17 out of their 26 players saw action on the field. WTAMU had only 2 hits going into the ninth inning, scratching out two runs on three hits to finish the game. Senior Patrick Wallis went 1-4 on the day with an RBI and a run scored. Brothers Dusty and Coby Corley added a hit each, along with sophomores Brady Ribinskas and Caleb Palmer.
The Buffs will play their final home series this weekend, April 21-22, against Lone Star Conference opponent, Tarleton State University. First pitch has been changed to 2 p.m. on Friday and will remain at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
