AMARILLO, Texas - Southeastern Oklahoma Savage Storm senior right-hander Reese Dodd was a one man wrecking crew on the mound in game one of a doubleheader against West Texas A&M, as he allowed only one run on three hits in the complete game, 8-1 victory on Friday afternoon at the Dilla Villa in Amarillo.

"We didn't hit the ball at all in game one" said WT head coach Matt Vanderburg "Give credit to Southeastern, their pitcher and defense were ready to play this afternoon and our guys weren't. Holding an offense like ours to three hits says something about (Reese) Dodd."

Dodd took a no-hitter into the seventh inning before WT's Joe Inzone (JR, Spring Valley, California) hit a single down the left field line with one out. A short WT rally followed with back-to-back hits by Rob Mann (JR, Duncanville, Texas) and Coty Wilson (SR, China Spring, Texas) before a double-play game the Savage Storm the 8-1 victory.

PJ Granado (JR, San Antonio, Texas) picked up the loss on the mound (3-4) for the Buffs, giving up five runs on five hits in 3.0 innings of work.
