AMARILLO, TEXAS - The Southwestern Oklahoma bats remained hot in game two of a doubleheader at The Dilla Villa, as they defeated the Buffaloes of West Texas A&M, 6-1, to complete the weekend sweep of WT.

The Buffs started off the scoring in the bottom of the first inning with one run on one hit along with one SWOSU fielding error. Brad Elders (Sophomore, Amarillo, Texas) drove an RBI single up the middle to score Tyson Hickman (Junior, Pampa, Texas) to give WT the early 1-0 lead.

The Bulldogs took the lead in the top of the sixth as they scored six runs on three hits to go along with one West Texas A&M fielding error. The inning was highlighted by a Morgan Marr RBI triple down the right field line to score teammate Blake Mounce to give SWOSU the 6-1.

Southwestern broke the game open in the top of the seventh, scoring three runs on four hits to take a 9-1 lead. SWOSU's starter Chris Morrison gave up one run on four hit in a complete game win.

Aaron Richardson (Junior, Santee, California) picked up the loss on the mound (1-2) for the Buffs, giving up three runs on two Bulldog hits in five innings of work.

The Buffs return to the diamond on March 2 as they travel to Moore, Oklahoma for a doubleheader against Hillsdale Baptist.
