CANYON, Texas - The West Texas A&M baseball team split a doubleheader against East Central on Saturday afternoon, falling in the opener, 11-10, but coming back to win the nightcap, 10-9, with the help of a walk-off home run by senior Brian Schupp.

Schupp finished the day with five hits and three home runs for the Buffs who improved to 4-6 on the season and 2-4 in LSC play.

The Buffs are back in action on Sunday when they face off against ECU in the series final, which is slated to begin from Conner Park at 1 p.m.

Game #1 Recap (East Central 11, West Texas A&M 10)
The Buffs took a 9-6 lead into the ninth inning, but the Tigers were able to plate three runs in the top of the frame to force extra innings where a two-run 10th proved to be the difference in an 11-10 ECU win.

Seniors Brian Schupp and Justin Graham each collect three hits, while Schupp collect five RBI on a pair of home runs.

ECU's Lucas Armenta hit three home runs and drove in four for the Tigers.

Game #2 Recap (West Texas A&M 10, East Central 9)
Schupp homered again and drove in three runs, as did freshman Darby Waker for the first time in his career during Saturday's game two as the Buffs handed ECU a 10-9 defeat in a seven-inning contest.

Senior Bart Cannon picked up his first win of the season, pitching throughout the second game and allowing only three earned runs.
