2009: Hickman became a staple in the outfield for the Buffs in 2009, as he saw time in 51 contests as a junior. Hickman hit for a .308 batting average with 172 at-bats, 53 hits, 12 doubles, and 19 RBI. He was also a threat on the base paths, leading the team in stolen bases with eight and attempts with 12. His best offensive game came against East Central on Feb. 21 as he went 4-for-4 at the plate and scored a pair of runs.

Junior College: Hickman graduated from Frank Phillips JC (Texas) with his associate's degree in General Studies. He played in the outfield and pitched for the Plainsmen under head coach Guy Simmons, and was named the team MVP as a freshman.

High School: Hickman graduated from Pampa HS (Texas) and led the Harvesters to the District 3-4A title as a senior under head coach Clay Wilson. He was 7-6 on the mound with a 2.1 ERA to go along with a .542 batting average with four homers as a senior while only striking out twice.

Major: Hickman is an Education major at West Texas A&M specializing in Grades 4-8 Math and Science.
