2008: Hickey made 18 appearances for the Buffs in 2008, starting six games. He recorded a 12.83 ERA during 53.1 innings pitched, striking out 38 opponents. In WT's season opener against Sul Ross, Hickey struck out four Lobos during four innings of work.

Junior College: Hickey graduated from Odessa Junior College (Texas) in 2007 with an associate's degree in General Studies. While at OJC, Hickey pitched for the Wranglers for two seasons under head coach Brian Blessie.

High School: Hickey graduated from Odessa Permain HS (Texas) and played third base, shortstop, and pitched for the Panthers. He was named All-District 3-5A as a senior and as a junior, and was named district 3-5A defensive MVP. Was a member of the National Honor Society.

Major: Hickey is a Business Management major at WTAMU.

Personal: Hickey is the son of Birdie Hickey and has three siblings: Derek, Ted, and Travis.
