Drew Conley makes the transition from player to coach this spring. Joining Mark Jones and his staff as a student assistant. In just two seasons with the Buffaloes, Conley was primarily playing first base. The Cooper, Texas, native broke the school record for putouts in a season with 397. Conley fifnished his career with 74 hits, 15 doubles, four home runs and 31 walks. He also held a career .261 batting average in his two seasons with the Buffs. The former first basemen also helped lead the Buffs into their first LSC Tournament in 2006. Conley is in the process of earning his bachelors degree in Sports and Exercise Science. He will also assist Coach Jones in everyday duties this season and along with helping coach the hitters. |
