CANYON, Texas – The #2 Lady Buffs and #13 Buffaloes of West Texas A&M head to Charlotte, North Carolina this week to take part in the 2018 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Irwin Belk Complex on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University.

The Buffs will send nine student-athletes to the championship while the defending National Champion Lady Buffs send eight to Charlotte, competition starts on Thursday morning and ends on Saturday night. NCAA.com will provide live results and a free webstream from the Irwin Belk Complex.

Affessi highlights a group of three Lady Buffs (Hudson, Cunigan) who return to the National Meet as the sophomore from Geneva, Switzerland is a three-time National Champion including the reigning outdoor titleholder in the Long Jump and the 4x100m Relay.

Irwin Belk Complex – Charlotte, North Carolina
The Irwin Belk Complex at Johnson C. Smith University, which features an Olympic-sized track and high-tech academic facility, has been open since January 2003. It sits just under the beautiful Charlotte skyline and right off Interstate 77.

The complex has been the site of several major events including the 2007 and 2010 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, several CIAA Track and Field Championships, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and the JCSU Track and Field Invitational. Many of these events are bringing people from all across Charlotte and the country to JCSU.
