LAWTON, Oklahoma – West Texas A&M won the first two sets but Cameron wouldn't go down without a fight as they forced a fifth and deciding set before WT finished off the Aggies (25-19, 25-14, 21-25. 21-25, 15-8) on Friday night in Lawton, Oklahoma to open up Lone Star Conference action in front of 355 fans at Aggie Gym. The Lady Buffs pick up their third straight victory to move to 5-4 (1-0 LSC) while the Aggies fall to 2-7 (0-1 LSC) in their first home game of the season.
 
The Lady Buffs were led offensively by senior middle blocker 
Elisa Bentsen with a career high 15 kills on 30 swings with just three attack errors to hit .400 on the night followed by 
Crystal Thomas with 11 kills and 
Cori Haley with 10, 
Selena Batiste dished out a match high 29 assists on the night followed by 
Jessica Jackson with 22. 
Lauren Britten registered a match high 28 digs followed by Haley with a career high 20 digs for a double-double. WT registered 64 kills on 185 swings with 22 attack errors to hit .227 on the night with 62 assists, 94 digs and 14 total blocks in the win.
 
Britten moves into seventh place all-time in the WT Volleyball Record Book for career digs with 1,715 to pass former Lady Buff standout Lauren Thedford (1,704/2007-10). The Amarillo High product now sits just 44 digs behind Holly Morgan (1,759/1995-98) for sixth place all-time.
 
Cameron was led offensively by Paige Dixon with 14 kills on 42 swings with four attack errors to hit .238 on the night to go along with 16 digs for a double-double, Jenna Gillean also registered a double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs while Haleigh McClain-Ward paced the CU offense with 20 assists in the match while Kylee Quillin led the way with a team high 22 digs. The Aggies registered 54 kills on 193 swings with 27 attack errors to hit .140 as a team with 50 assists, 89 digs and three total blocks.

Ligon Coliseum with first serve set for 5 p.m. The Mustangs swept past UT Permian Basin in their LSC opener on Friday night in Wichita Falls.
